"Brendan is the former director of the Government Banking Service (April 2010 to June 2016) which represented the contractual relationships with banks as a customer of the payment systems. He combined that role with that of Crown Representative for Banking and Payments from 2012 and continues in that position. His remit has recently been expanded to include that of Government lead (as a customer) on the Payment Strategy Forum. Brendan is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and prior to his retirement in 2009 was a career banker with Lloyds Banking Group. At Lloyds, he held senior positions in retail and corporate banking as well as wealth management. He is an ambassador for Opportunity International, a micro finance charity."
